Cieplice › Staniszów › Krzyżowa Góra › Łomnica › Jelenia Góra
The trip starts in Jelenia Góra–Cieplice, then you have to go down Krośnieńska street in the direction of Staniszów. The road from Cieplice will lead you to the center of Staniszów where you will see one of the oldest churches in the Jelenia Góra Valley. On the other side of the street there are stairs leading to Góra Witosza (Witosza Mountain). It is a great viewpoint, where, in good weather, you can see a fragment of the Karkonosze
mountain range and the Izery Mountains. Góra Witosza was made famous in the seventeenth century by the prophesying and levitating visionary, Hans Rischmann - the “German Nostradamus”. The mountain was also made famous in 1901, when at the very top, a monument of Chancellor Bismarck appeared, but it has not survived to present times. From Witosza you follow the green trail in the direction of Mysłakowice. Along the
way, you pass Krzyżowa Góra with the Cross of the Three Prussian Kings, from the year 1874. From here it is not far to the Miniature Park (see p. 36) and the Museum of Military Equipment. You head back to Jelenia Góra through Łomnica and along the pedestrian-cycling path.
