While riding a bicycle in and around the Izery mountains it is worth visiting our Czech neighbours. Both scenic and natural attractions are
guaranteed. Leaving from Szklarska Poręba, passing through the Huta settlement, and continuing to Jakuszyce and beyond is the most popular
route in the Izery mountains. Going this way will lead you to the hut, “Orle” (Eagle). This hut is a remnant of the former “Carlstahl” glassworks settlement. You can continue past the hut and turn left at the stream, to reach the Izera river, which can only be crossed by using the wooden bridge. At this point you will have to get off your bike and go on foot. The aim of this part of the trip is the Jizerka settlement, one of the most visited tourist sites, also with a history of glass making. You can have a meal and relax here.
